COLOR A PIECE OF YOUR FEELS TODAY
PART 1

Let's be honest, expressing your feelings can be hard. The adjectives that we learn to describe our feelings seem so one dimensional and doesn't seem to capture how your whole body, mind, and soul can feel when you think you are "sad" or "happy".
Are you happy when you pass a test or finish a work presentation? I think I would feel relieved, proud, and maybe a little nervous as I wait for feedback. Some days are harder to get out of bed than others just because my hormones be doing what hormones are supposed to do. Some days I wake up exhausted from all the fun I had from the night before. How do you even explain those feelings? When your heart and mind is full, but your body is depleted.
Feelings are complex, sometimes you can express them, other times, it is much much harder, it takes more words, more thought and even more time to comprehend yourself before you can even begin to explain.
Sometimes, when words feel too small for how we feel, colors can fill the gap. Coloring isn’t just for kids—it’s been shown to reduce stress, improve focus, and even help process emotions. There’s something about picking a color, moving it across the page, and watching it take shape that quiets the noise in your head.
So, let’s start simple. Just one puzzle piece. No pressure, no right or wrong colors—just whatever feels right today.
One piece, one moment, one feeling at a time.
I'm sure I was feeling a bit dark and spicy on 1/31/25.
